Differences between individual and individualized forms of education are formulated. The typical structure of a modern school course in Geography is described. The role of project-based learning as an element of the individualization of secondary school education is noted. The place of GIS in the school educational process is indicated. The use of GIS technologies in teacher training is characterized. Examples of geoinformation items developed for secondary school Geography are given.
