Effects of Conductor Erection Modes on the Ground Wire Power Loss for Double-Circuit Transmission Lines
When our research is concerned with the induced power loss caused by ground wires, the conductor erection mode that whether conductors of different circuits are installed on the same tower is a key technical scheme. It is a common practice that the ground wire power loss will not be taken into account in the life cycle cost, which will affect the electric energy transmission efficiency and the economic benefit of power grid. Although the power loss is only a small percentage of electric energy, the total quantity in the entire power grid is huge beyond our imagination with the increase of the power deliver and the improvement of the voltage level at present. Therefore, the power loss should be considered in the evaluation of life cycle cost when we adopt conductor erection mode. Taking the 750kV transmission lines widely constructed in northwest China as example, this paper analyses the characteristics and economic indexes of double-circuit transmission lines on the same tower and two parallel single-circuit transmission lines under different phase sequence arrangement to recommend the best energy saving conductor erection mode and the optimal phase sequence arrangements.
