In this paper, a novel diagnosis method based on cosine similarity and fuzzy semantic inference for intelligent IETM (Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) platform is investigated. The proposed diagnosis method is composed of two stages. The first stage is the record processing module. In this stage, fault records need to be processed by using cosine similarity. The rapid diagnosis module is the second stage. During this stage, fuzzy semantic inference is used to diagnosis the fault. One experimental study is carried out with the history records of pulling motor of EMU (Electric Multiple Units) to verify the effectiveness of the proposed diagnosis method.
