Therefore, more experimental studies and research are needed to encourage the deployment of digital stations rather than traditional ones. This paper aims to evaluate IEC 61850 technique for digital substation in comparison to conventional methodology. This paper describes in detail how IEC 61850 GOOSE and SV can be implemented for protection schemes as part of the continuing efforts to digitize stations.
