OPTIMALISASI PERAN KOMITE SEKOLAH DI MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERI JENEPONTO

Abstrak:        Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang peran komite sekolah di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Jeneponto. Adapun fokus penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah:1). Bagaimana peran komite sekolah di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Jeneponto, 2). Apa faktor pendukung dan penghambat peranan komite sekolah di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Jeneponto. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, komite sekolah, dan tokoh masyarakat. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang peran komite sekolah di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Jeneponto menunjukkan bahwa: 1) sebagai pemberi pertimbangan (advisory agency), komite sekolah sebagai mitra kerja kepala sekolah telah memberikan pertimbangannya dalam setiap rencana dan program yang telah disusun oleh sekolah. 2) sebagai pendukung (supporting agency), peran komite sekolah sebagai badan pendukung dalam upaya peningkatan mutu sekolah dapat berupa dukungan finansial, tenaga, dan dukungan pikiran. Misalnya, komite ikut membantu dan menunjang sarana dan prasarana sekolah. 3) sebagai pengontrol (controlling agency), komite sekolah melakukan kontrol atau pengawasan pengambilan keputusan kepala sekolah atau perencanaan pendidikan di sekolah. 4) serta sebagai mediator (executive) komite sekolah sebagai penghubung atau mediator antara pemerintah, sekolah, orang tua dan masyarakat memiliki arti, bahwa aspirasi orang tua siswa semuanya itu melalui komite sekolah. Kata Kunci : Peran Komite Sekolah   Abstrack:  This study examines the role of school committees in Jeneponto State Madrasah Aliyah   Negeri. The focus of research in this study are: 1). What is the role of the school committe in jeneponto state Madrasah Aliyah, 2). What factors support and hinder the role of school committees in Jeneponto State Madrasah Aliyah. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Data sources in this study are the principal, school committee, and community leaders. Data collection techniques through interviews, obsevation and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed through the data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research on the role of school committees in Jeneponto State Aliyah Madrasah, it shows that: 1) as an advisory agency, the school committee as the principal’s work partner has given its consideration in every plan and program that has been prepared by the school. 2) as a supporting agency, the role of the school committee as a supporting body in efforts to improve the quality of school can be in the form of financial support, egency, and mind support. For example, the committee helps assit and support school facilities and infrastructure. 3) as a controlling (controlling agency), the school committee controls or supervises the decision making of the principal or planning education in the school. 4) as well the mediator (executive) of the school committee as a liaison or mediator between the government, the school, parents and the community means that the aspirations of the student’s parents are all through the school committee. Keywords:       the role of the school committee
