Study on multifunction GTEM cell for radiated EMI measurement and analysis
A multifunction Giga hertz Transverse Electromagnetic (GTEM) cell is presented for radiated EMI mechanism diagnosis in this paper. The structure design and measurement principle of the cell are discussed, in the meanwhile, the radiated EMI noise mechanism diagnosis by using GTEM cell is applied for equipment under test (EUT). The multi-pole moment model is employed in GTEM cell to realize EMI measurement and the near filed mechanism diagnosis setup is used to decide whether the dominate noise is common-mode (CM) or differential-mode (DM) noise. The experimental results show that the proposed multifunction GTEM cell can not only be utilized for radiated EMI measurement, but also be effective for mechanism diagnosis.
