UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN DAUN BIOLA (Ficus Lyrata Warb.)
Degenerative diseases in the body are increasing caused by exposure to free radicals. Excessive exposure to free radicals makes the body need antioxidants from outside. The fiddle leaf (Ficus lyrata Warb.) has antioxidant activity. The aim of the study was to determine the antioxidant activity of extract, fractions and subfractions of fiddle leaf using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil (DPPH) method. Extraction method by maceration using ethanol 96%. Fractionation was carried out by liquid-liquid extraction using three solvents with increasing polarity, namely n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and waterethanol, and monitored by thin layer chromatography (TLC) and tested for antioxidant activity. The selected fraction was simplified by gradient elution system column chromatography and tested for antioxidant activity. The results of the strongest antioxidant activity was shown by the ethyl acetate fraction with IC50 9.31±0.304 μg/ml.
