The aim of this study is to indicate that computerization leads to greater cost-effectiveness. The study is mainly based on a literature review. Against this background, was to assess the computerization of the health care system in Poland was assessed’. The paper considers aspects of inefficient operations, barriers to computerization of the system, and the direction of optimal solutions that can have a positive impact on the efficiency of the health care system in Poland. It was pointed out that a low level of computerization corresponds to the political model. On one hand, healthcare is an area which is becoming increasingly allocated public funds, while on the other hand there is a low degree of maturity about the stakeholder model of health care.
