The main objective of this paper is to give an overview of various digital modulation techniques employed in wireless Communication systems and to conclude with a better modulation technique among them. This paper presents analysis of different modulation techniques such as Amplitude Shift Keying (ASK), Phase Shift Keying (PSK), Frequency Shift Keying (FSK), Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM), and the novel modulation technique: Hybrid Frequency and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (HFQAM), with the help of MATLAB.
