It has been summed up that professional online learning nowadays demands a rather high level of skills and competencies formation in implementation of online self-regulated learning, and ,especially, self-control being its dominating component under pandemic and lockdown. The current article deals with technological, psychological, social and emotional difficulties which students-beginners face in the online learning process. The views of foreign and Ukrainian scholars are offered on the students’ online self-control profiling types , and their impact on academic performance, the quality and outcomes of University learning.
