Filtering of photoplethysmographic pulse signals with downward gradient algorithms
An adaptive filtering process was developed, in which down gradient algorithms were compared in adaptive noise canceller (ANC) configuration, since the filtered signals used were photoplethysmographic pulse signals (PPG) contaminated with motion artifact noise and their dynamics required this type of filters. It was determined which of the algorithms had the lowest error between the pulse signal without motion contamination and the signal at the output of the filter, this in order to denote an adaptive algorithm to filter an off-line photoplethysmographic pulse signal, by processing the signal and leaving the signal ready to improve the subsequent visualization of the relevant information of the signal. The implementation of the adaptive filter algorithm was offline in MATLAB software.
