Case 71: Small Fiber Neuropathy, Postural Tachycardia, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome
The patient has history of mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) in which mast cells inappropriately release active substances including leukotriene and histamines, triggering symptoms of flushing and orthostatic intolerance.
