Materi yang digunakan adalah 96 ekor ayam broiler strain CP 707 Charoen Pokphand dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah: P0=air minum (kontrol), P1=l5 ml jamu herbal / liter air minum, P2=10 ml jamu herbal / liter air minum P3=15 ml jamu herbal / liter air minum. Parameter yang diteliti adalah bobot badan akhir, bobot sekum dan jumlah Salmonella dalam sekum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0.05) terhadap bobot akhir, bobot sekum, dan jumlah Salmonella dalam sekum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan, bahwa penambahan ramuan herbal dalam air minum memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap bobot badan akhir dan bobot sekum dan tidak ditemukan adanya Salmonella pada sekum ayam broiler.\nKata kunci : ramuan herbal, broiler, bobot badan akhir, bobot sekum, microba, , salmonella\n ABSTRACT\nThis study aimed to determine the effect of adding herbal ingredients in drinking water to final body weight, cecum weight and the amount of salmonella in the caecum of broiler chickens. The material used was 96 broiler chickens strain CP 707 Charoen Pokphand with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments tested were: P0=drinking water (control), P1=15 ml of herbal medicine/liter of drinking water, P2=10 ml of herbal medicine/liter of drinking water P3=15 ml of herbal medicine/liter of drinking water. The parameters studied were final body weight, cecum weight and the number of salmonella in the cecum. The results showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the final weight, cecum weight, and the number of Salmonella in the cecum.
