Hybrid module for low-cost surveillance system

Motion detection is a technique primarily used for detecting moving objects within a scene. In the recent years, it has been highly applied in surveillance systems. This paper proposes the use of motion detection techniques for implementing an easy-to-use and secure surveillance system. The proposed system is based on real-time motion detection through the use of an IP camera to monitor movement in a small room. When any motion is present, the system will send an alert to the observer. To perform the motion detection, the system combines frame deference techniques with motion detector sensors directed by an Arduino microcontroller.
