Priority Model for Public-Private Partnership Investment in Energy Projects
This paper presents an analytical method to help Public Private Partnership developers and investors in the energy sector to focus on the region, country or the area that has a potential affordability to pay back the loan using Gross National Income (GNI) and electricity consumption. Projects’ Data utilized in this paper were collected from the World Bank projects. It includes GNI per capita in 2015 at minimal values for a list of countries, totaling 195 countries, and the electricity consumption. K-means and Regression Analysis techniques have been used to build four investment decision-making models. The developed models help the investors and decision makers to understand, analyze, and decide depending on the solid base using the developed models and investment groups of countries. The developed models have been validated using real data from 40 countries.
