EFFECTIVENESS OF TEACHING PROGRAMME ON KNOWLEDGE REGARDING NEONATAL RESUSCITATION AMONG STAFF NURSES.
Background: Neonatal resuscitation is a series of emergency procedures performed to revive a newborn who is not breathing or has other serious problems. Objective: The objective of the study was to assess the effect of structured teaching programme regarding the knowledge on neonatal resuscitation among the staff nurses. Materials and Methods: A pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test research design was used in this study. Non-probability convenience sampling technique was used to select the samples. The sample consists of 57 nurses working in NICU, labour room, Paediatric and Gynaecology wards of a selected hospital in Kattappana. The pre-test and post-test were carried out using the structured knowledge questionnaire.
