Quality Analysis of Industrial Sustainable Development in Hubei Province under New Development Paradigm

Under the new development paradigm of the 14th Five-Year Plan, it is of great significance to further promote the sustainable development of industry and promote the comprehensive green and low-carbon transformation of industrial enterprises to improve their quality and efficiency. As a traditional industrial province in China, Hubei Province has some problems such as low utilization rate of resources, high pollution and low utilization rate of scientific and technological achievements. Based on an in-depth analysis of industrial development in Hubei Province from 2008 to 2019, this paper established an index system of industrial input and output, and applied DEA model to discuss the quality of industrial sustainable development in Hubei Province. The results showed that the industrial development in some years had a low quality with redundant input and insufficient output, and the scale efficiency could be further improved. Finally, from the perspective of government macroeconomic control and driving force of industrial enterprises, this paper put forward multi-level suggestions on how to improve the quality of industrial sustainable development in Hubei Province.
