Hence there is a necessity for antennas to be conformal to the shape of object such a part of high speed train, airplane or other vehicle. Generally it is common to find study of microstrip antenna conformal on cylindrical surface. This paper presents the design of an antenna that is conformal on a spherical surface viz. radome, an integral part of the aircraft structure and does not cause extra drag. Analysis of the results is based on simulation using CST microwave studio.
