In order to fight this Economic Imperialism, we must take the most basic assumptions of economic thinking as objects of critique. This contribution refers to Marxian theory of value form and fetish, following the intention to use such concepts as powerful means of a contemporary critique of Economics. The author reads Marx in a way which deviates from traditional Marxist interpretations. He looks at the intrusion of economic concepts into social sciences.
