This phenomenon is a theme that is quite often discussed in the literary world. One novel that criticizes patriarchal culture, especially in Arab society, is the novel L'Amande by Nedjma. This novel tells how the experiences of subaltern experienced by the Badra character later influenced her character from time to time. This study uses the refer method to collect the verbal data which aims to examine how the form of subaltern that occurs in Badra figures in the L'Amande novel by Nedjma and the strategies carried out by these figures to deal with subalternity that occurs in Arab society.
