The use of information technology in the career guidance work of a university

Considerable attention is paid to career guidance work in higher educational institutions. This is typical not only for universities in Russia, but also abroad. Information technology makes it possible to expand career guidance opportunities. They allow organizing interaction with potential applicants and educational institutions from different regions on the issues of informing and vocational guidance for students; the inclusion of university teachers in educational and consulting work with schoolchildren, involving them in research and project work on the basis of the university, “attending” university classes and educational events. The strengths of online career guidance work include: the interaction of students from different regions of Russia and other countries; choosing a convenient time for consultation; saving resources and time; comfortable environment for the subjects of work and other.
