Selection of Informative Parameters Based on the Assessment of the Degree of Chaos of the Time Series of Observations During the Study of Complex Signals and Systems
Currently, prevention and treatment of ulcer disease occupy a rather important place among many problems faced by specialists, and the increasing prevalence of this disease is explained by the increase of environmental and stress factors. Investigations conducted to detect gastrointestinal tract motility disorders are difficult to analyze invasively. In this regard, simple non-invasive methods of functional diagnostics such as peripheral electrogastroenterography are of particular importance. Thus, recording the electrical potential of the gastrointestinal tract allows to evaluate its motor-evacuation function. Numerous studies have shown that there is a close interaction between the electrical and collecting activities of the gastrointestinal tract. Electrogastroenterography is a noninvasive method, has no contraindications and is well tolerated by patients. This allows even very serious patients to be examined both during surgery and in the first hours after surgery. Considering the simplicity and accuracy of this methodology, it is possible to conduct a large number of repeated studies in the assessment of the dynamics of parameters during the treatment process. The indicators obtained because of electrogastroenterography do not contradict each other and in many cases precede the results of radiological and endoscopic examination, which indicates that the considered method is superior in diagnosing the motility-evacuation function of the gastrointestinal tract. At this time, because of using modern computer technology, the timeliness and quality of diagnoses determined by a gastroenterologist significantly increases.
