Therefore. in this paper. a method is described. that supports the developer in the early stage of product engineering [1]. in the activities of detecting ideas by searching for alternative solutions. The method considers the system of objectives that has to be defined by the developer. Based on this. hybrid electric drivetrains topologies are synthesized automatically and investigated regarding their energy efficiency and performance.
