It demonstrates how creating interactive multimedia learning objects can enhance traditional teaching methods, and potentially provide virtual learning environments for online delivery. The paper also focuses upon the application of the multimedia architecture 'QuickTime', which was chosen because of its cross-platform capability, multi platform delivery and scalability (Internet, CDROM, Hard drive...), ease of authoring, high level of interactivity possible, and excellent audio capabilities.
