One of the main use-cases of smart technologies is precision farming the practice of enhancing the farmers ability of making decisions by adding a layer of artificial intelligence to machines. In order to do that, existing machines need to have means of obtaining data from various sensors or sources; also means of transmitting data to centralized data-centers where the information is analyzed by using algorithms for statistical analysis or artificial intelligence.
