The boost in the lifetime of a network is acquired by considering different parameter including DU-NET coding (duty cycled network coding scheme) accompanied by clustering, which includes cluster head selection and data routing, having different benefits and shortcoming of its own. Using duty cycle efficiency of a system is augmented to a remarkable extent and for the provision of packet latency, network coding is used. Here clustering protocol called SEP (Stable Election Protocol) which is heterogeneous in nature is introduced, used to provide efficient routing algorithm and provides an optimized solution for lifetime maximization. In SEP, Cluster heads are selected on the basis of residual energy of node using Weighted Election Probability. Categorization of nodes is done into Normal nodes and Advanced nodes based on the initial energy of nodes.
