The analysis of statistical data for 2020 for the food industry market of the Russian Federation and the United States is presented. The problems and needs of stakeholders in the food industry in information and digitalization tools necessary for making and supporting management decisions have been identified. The need to develop an information system is shown that allows analysis and filtering pursuant to a number of criteria for data characterizing the participants in the food industry market.
