The GNSS systems are not only used for positioning and navigation, but they also provide vital time reference used in communication and surveillance systems. The availability of GNSS is vital for the overall CNS environment. Loss of this service due to intentional or unintentional interference has a detrimental impact on air traffic operation. It is therefore desirable to be able to inform air traffic controllers and pilots about such occurrence, to define its geographical area of impact and to try to find and remove the source of interference as quickly as possible.
