Nowadays there is a stiff competition between certification bodies, and it seems necessary to view certification not only as cost-adding, but also as value-adding. The only way to achieve that is to use certification experts' experience. Since field certification is limited in time, it is desirable to determine audit criteria adequately and to focus experts' efforts on the most important and problematic production areas.
