Research on the impact of the digital economy on the residents’ lives with high quality based on principal component analysis and multiple linear regression methods

At present, the academic research focuses on the economic benefits brought by the development of digital economy, but the research on the impact of digital economy on people’s life and well-being is insufficient. In this paper, the principal component analysis and multiple linear regression method are used to select data from multiple perspectives to depict the digital economy. The results show that the development of digital economy has a positive impact on the quality of life of residents as a whole; among them, the development of telecommunication services and the popularization of the Internet have played a positive role in the high-quality life of residents. This research proves that the digital economy has contributed to the high-quality life of residents, and provides suggestions for the future development of the digital economy and the digitization of the industry, which has a certain reference value.
