In this paper we propose a payoff-based dynamic segment replication policy called P-DSR which instead of replicating the entire video file, it divides it into several segments then selects the segments with the highest payoff which can rebalance load faster and consequently reduces rejection rate and improve the system response time. Payoff-based dynamic segment replication policy in distributed VOD system
