By selecting a suitable annealing process control of steel coils we improve the quality of annealed batch and economic efficiency of furnace operation. When selecting a suitable heat treatment for a specific application purpose, one starts by learning the desired metal properties and by acquiring knowledge about properties structures. One must also consider the structural transformations that take place in systems by temperature changes. Addressing the challenge of accelerating and improving the metal heating procedure is the main research and development direction of the current thermal technology in all industrialized countries in the world. Considering the introduction of new management technologies, it is important to take measurements, in a way to maintain the measuring uncertainties within required limits. In the annealing process (heat treatment of steel), the measuring the temperature inside the steel coils plays an important role. Because the direct temperature measurement cannot be performed for several reasons (e.g. processed material damage, thermocouples wear, difficult assembly of thermocouples into the coil and so on) it is necessary to utilize systems of indirect measurement.
