Development of Communication Channel for data Transmission Over Single-Mode Optical Fiber in Environmental Monitoring System from Remote Multifunctional Complexes
The problems that arise when carrying out environmental monitoring activities in continuous mode over large areas are considered. One possible solution to these problems is the use of a multifunctional environmental monitoring complex, which is placed on high-voltage power lines. An optical communication channel on a single-mode fiber has been developed to transmit real-time information under complex conditions from various sensors. The peculiarities of information transmission via an optical channel were determined and a new construction scheme was proposed, the use of which makes it possible to transmit information for distances of 450 km and more without the use of optical amplification. The investigation results of the characteristics for the optical communication channel are presented.
