The digital competence of the PhD students researcher of a particular educational institution is considered as a factor influencing the quality of education and the readiness of PhD students for its development. The result of the study is to determine the readiness of PhD students of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University to acquire and develop their own digital competence of the researcher. The readiness to acquire and develop digital competence of graduate students both at the level of resource provision and basic digital competence and motivation of future researchers was confirmed by conducting a survey of the experimental group of graduate students of the 1st year of study.
