A novel high-isolation dual-polarized patch antenna array based on 1x2 sub-array is designed. The isolations between different sub-arrays or different polarizations in the same subarray of the 2x2 array are promoted by simply loading several U-type and I-type grounded strips together with a big cross strip around the antennas on the same layer. Consequently, all isolations between different ports of the 2x2 dual-polarized antenna array can achieve a very high level of over 25 dB in a relatively broad band of 3.4GHz ~ 3.6GHz. Moreover, these strips have little influence on radiation characteristics of the antenna array, which can ensure that the antenna is working properly.
