So a new technique using Optical Normaliser (ON) for dynamic thresholding is introduced, that can effectively handle random signals. The Bit Error Rate (BER), Q factor and the received power of the system using ON is analysed and improvement in above factors are observed than that of using OHL. 摘要

光码分多址(Optical Code Division Multiple Access, OCDMA)是一种支持同一时隙、同一频率的多路同时传输,通过光域编码实现多路传输和多路接入的技术。但多用户系统的主要缺点之一是接收端用户对输入信号的误检测会产生多址干扰(MAI)。这种MAI可以通过在接收器前端使用光学硬限制器(OHL)来减少。但是使用OHL的缺点是它不能有效地处理随机信号。为此,提出了一种利用光学归一化器(ON)进行动态阈值处理的新方法,可以有效地处理随机信号。分析了系统的误码率(BER)、Q因子和接收功率,发现上述因素都比使用OHL时有所改善。仿真使用Rsoft公司的商用模拟器OptSim 5.3进行。
