Comparison of IR-UWB Radar SoC for Non-Contact Biomedical Application
The application of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology in non-contact biomedical applications has recently grown significantly due to the availability of new UWB System-on-Chips (SoCs). Although these SoCs are designed to adhere to the UWB technology, the features provided by each SoC are different. To implement an optimal system, designers should account for the SoC-specific features. This study analyzes the commercially available Impulse Radio Ultra-Wideband (IR UWB) SoCs to identify their features, performance, suitability for non-contact biomedical applications, and future research directions. Therefore, this study will provide a comprehensive guideline for future researchers and developers to implement UWB Systems with improved performance.
