However, it is affected by some interference issues. This paper is focused on the interference between Ultra high frequency (UHF) RFID systems and devices that communicate according to the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) standard. Since the GSM and the UHF RFID frequency bands are close, the mobile phones communication can affect the efficiency of RFID systems. In this paper, an experimental analysis on the interference between GSM and UHF RFID is presented. The experimental results highlight the negative effects of the use of GSM devices in the proximity of operating UHF RFID systems.
