For the collection of data, various Puerto Rican television programs and YouTube videos were used. The data were then organized according to their orthographic representation, anglicism classification, phonetic representation, English original word, and Spanish equivalent. It is considered that English has considerable influence in the Spanish of the Island because there is a federation with the United States of America. Therefore, it becomes a very special linguistic phenomenon that identifies Puerto Rican culture.
