The objective of this paper is to prioritize sectors for industry 4.0 transformation in the context of the lean supply chain by using an approach consisting of Pythagorean fuzzy AHP and Pythagorean fuzzy TOPSIS that are used to manage uncertainties of decision making more effectively. In this study, as Pythagorean fuzzy AHP is utilized to obtain the weights of criteria affecting industry 4.0 transformation such as system reliability, human resource management, and economic aspect, Pythagorean fuzzy TOPSIS is employed to assess the alternative sectors with respect to these criteria. It has been revealed that the sector with the high priority in industry 4.0 transformation is determined as Finance Sector, followed by Education, Production and Energy sectors, respectively.
