The paper presents details for a compact, battery powered, repetitive pulser, which is capable of producing nanosecond rise-time pulses at voltages exceeding 0.5 MV. The system is based on a Tesla transformer operating in a dual-resonance mode, with a high energy transfer efficiency between the primary and secondary circuits.
