Gap is introduced in the feed line to the elements one at a time. Best frequency independent response is achieved when the second element is fed using gap coupling between the frequency ranges of 6.8 GHz to 15 GHz. The effect of applying the gaps in the feed line has been studied theoretically. The bandwidth of the antenna varies with different element fed using gap coupling.
