Assessing Pre-University Students' Attitude Towards Mathematics
Attitude towards education is one of the well-known factors to measure academic performance. Thus, this study focuses in measuring the relationship between students' attitudes and gender, school categories and academic achievements. Samples were collected from 328 pre-university science and engineering students using stratified random sampling. Attitudes Towards Mathematics Inventory (ATMI) was used to collect the data of students' attitudes towards Mathematics. The data were analysed using statistical tool of correlation coefficient. Results showed that, there was no statistically significant difference between gender, school categories, academic achievement and program for pre-university students.
