The existing methods, technologies and systems of renewable energy sources used for supporting precision agriculture have been analysed. The main parameters of a laboratory heat pump installation designed for heating of greenhouses have been investigated. The idea is to provide part of the electricity needed to power supply the heat pump compressor with energy harvested by PV panels.
