Involvement of public authorities in Ukraine in diaspore management

Migration is a powerful driver of economic, political and social change. Given its significance, the impact on the community, the migration process must be fully measured and understood. Reliable statistics are essential for the basics of understanding this important phenomenon, however, general data on migration are incomplete, outdated or non-existent. Improving this area requires knowledge of principles such as the collection, training and analysis of migration statistics in order to develop effective policies.
