The country continues to deal with the legacy of colonialism, genocide, and oppression, and is involved in a civil war. As a result of this legacy, the country faces many challenges especially in the development of a social, political, and economic infrastructure which can develop into a democratic state and implement a viable public school system that can feed universities and technical schools.
