Features of Physical Processes Which Flow in Planar Systems of Cylindrical Piezoceramic Radiators with Internal Acoustic Screens
Nowadays, when echolocation systems for various purposes, including measurement systems, are built, there is a tendency to move to low frequencies while maintaining the directional properties of the systems. The need to increase the overall dimensions of the generators of the system of electromechanical radiators and acoustic screens necessitated a search for new approaches to the construction of low-frequency systems. One of such approaches is the transfer of external acoustic screens of cylindrical radiators into their internal cavities when the latter are filled with liquid. Under conditions of symmetrical electric excitation of piezoceramic radiators and asymmetric arrangement of acoustic screens in their internal cavities, this approach ensures the preservation of one-sided radiation directivity. However, the conditions for the formation of the physical fields of the radiators in the composition of the systems under review undergo significant changes and the previously developed theoretical foundations and the properties of the physical fields of the screened cylindrical radiators established using them do not correspond to new physical realities. The purpose of this work is to obtain the calculated ratios for determining the physical fields of cylindrical piezoceramic radiators with internal acoustic soft screens when operating as part of flat measuring systems. To solve the problem, we use the method of coupled fields in multiply-connected domains. The method of numerical analysis revealed a number of features in the physical fields of piezoceramic radiators, which determine the conditions for the energy efficiency of their collaboration with electronic generators of the radiating paths of measuring systems. In the acoustic field, the radiation load of cylindrical radiators with screens as part of flat systems is characterized by a loss of axial symmetry. In the mechanical field of cylindrical piezoelectric radiators, the violation of the symmetry of their acoustic loading while maintaining the symmetry of the electric is accompanied by the emergence of multi-mode oscillations and effective redistribution of energy “pumped” into the radiators with the accepted mode of excitation only in one - zero mode of oscillation between all modes. The established features of the processes occurring during radiation indicate the need to consider them when choosing measurement methods and developing methods for measuring field characteristics.
