The adaptability of the power grid to DG can be characterized by “hosting capacity” and “absorption capability”. The existing researches mainly focus on the evaluation of either \" hosting capacity\" or “absorption capability”, and does not involve the active transformation of the distribution network. In this paper, a top-down evaluation method is proposed to evaluate the hosting capacity of distribution network.
