One such renewable way of power generation is by using the sun's solar energy to usable electrical energy. The solar energy is trapped by using PV array and processed using power conditioners according to the requirement. This paper deals with the power conditioning circuit that uses a single stage power conversion by switched capacitor inverter. The inverter uses photovoltaic (PV) array as the input source and produces a sinusoidal wave as the output. The advantages of the topology include compactness, increased efficiency and reduced THD.
