FFS approach adopted in major fisheries development projects; its impact and lessons learnt from establishing two AFS by the Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar is reviewed. Though FFS in fisheries projects is not adopted widely, its impact has been quite encouraging.
